TRAY'S WORDS

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 10, 2009, 9:31 PM
TRAY ATTEMPTS POETRY...

:bulletred:They've told me what to do and say for so long
But now the decisions are mine to make
They ask what side of the fence I want to live on
What side of the fence? How do I know?
I don't even know who I am
You haven't let me be me
Now you say choose, black or white?
But now I have found myself
I have found people like me
Together we learn who we are
And now I don't want black or white
I don't want to live on either side of your fence
I want to live in Technicolor
Where there are no fences
So, now you point and stare
You say that I am a radical because I defy
I defy because I opened up my eyes
And I don't deny what I see
You refuse to admit the world is a mess
So, put on your tie and grab your briefcase
Go to your cubicle like a sheep to its stall
I'll stay here in the sunshine and air
And it will melt off the layers of lies
You'll watch from your little window
Then you'll realize what you are missing
And we radicals will change the world
